The Project Estimator is responsible for managing a wide range of functions necessary to successfully obtain, bid, and price construction projects. This role involves ensuring accurate scopes of work, delivering consistent and complete estimates, and maintaining a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, and resource providers.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities    
  • Establish and maintain positive customer relationships for construction services.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure opportunities to obtain and price projects.
  • Educate customers on relevant processes, determine project requirements and obtain customer and client agreements.
  • Negotiate contract terms and set expectations with customer.
  • Identify, organize and schedule subcontractors, crew and suppliers with onsite management throughout project.
  • Create and deliver accurate sketches and initial scopes of work for all project types.
  • Assemble and deliver project schedule and timeline, scope of work and estimates.
  • Deliver timely, consistent, and well-defined estimates that consider all cost factors and ensure projects are estimated for maximum profitability within set budget.
  • Review budgets and recognize project constraints and necessary modifications.
  • Coordinate and initiate the completion of proper permits, punch list items, final walk through and any warranty activities.
  • Secure a signed Certificate of Completion and Certificate of Satisfaction from customer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Necessary Experience and Skill Set
  • 2+ years' experience estimating and securing construction and/or restoration projects.
  • Expertise in Xactimate software or similar estimating software.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, emergency-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Team and goal oriented.
Compensation: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
