Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Damage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to water damage emergencies, assessing damage, and implementing restoration procedures to mitigate further damage and restore affected properties to their pre-loss condition. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to water damage emergencies, including floods, leaks, and other water-related disasters.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of water damage to determine the extent of the damage and develop appropriate restoration plans.
  • Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and sanitization procedures using industry-standard equipment and techniques.
  • Remove damaged materials, such as carpeting, drywall, and flooring, as necessary to facilitate the restoration process.
  • Document all aspects of the restoration process, including damage assessments, restoration plans, and progress reports.
  • Communicate effectively with property owners, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders throughout the restoration process.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in water damage restoration preferred.
  • Proven experience in water damage restoration, including water extraction, drying, and mitigation techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and tools used in water damage restoration, such as water extractors, dehumidifiers, air movers, and moisture meters.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with property owners, insurance adjusters, and team members.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Compensation: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
